The Carpenters for Christ
A hundred men came riding in,
a hundred men or more
You circled up, joined hands in prayer
then went straightway to your chore.
With hammers ringing and saws singing
you let up a mighty roar,
the hundred men who came riding in,
a hundred men or more.
From fields and mountains and swamps and
plains,
you came in one accord.
You came to build a house of God,
You came to serve your Lord.
Your Lord is a humble carpenter's son
who commanded long ago,
"Spread the gospel of Jesus Christ,"
so all the world will know.
A hundred men came riding in,
a hundred men or more.
You built another house of God,
a house with a welcome door.
Where who-so-ever might enter in,
and learn of the precious price,
paid for you so long ago,
by the Master of the Carpenters for Christ.
